Travelport  (Cendant; 2003 - 2005)

Travelport, a Seattle, WA travel software company owned by Cendant Corp, hired me in early 2003 as their sole UX/UI designer, responsible for usability, interface design, graphics, design guidelines, style sheets, as well as coordinating for the localizing the interface into five languages.

This online application had a front-end targeted for corporate travelers as well as a complex back-end travel policy management system to allow travel managers enter complex logic.

Corporate travelers
These search results were displayed to corporate travelers who were accustomed to seeing travel segments displayed by consumer travel websites. The challenge was to take the old mainframe database language and translate it through a middle tier to approximate this experience.

Companies sign up with Travelport so that they can manage their preferred vendors. The back-end system has complex rules which needed to be translated into a usable interface.
