MTV Networks:
In 1994 I was an Art Director at MTV: Music Television, New York City, in the Off-Air division.Among the projects to which I was assigned was the launch of MTV India, creating the materials
needed for communications, announcements, live promotional events and more for their new
channel to be broadcast in Southeast Asia. I also created the the concept, "fresh then, canned
now," and packaging for "Classic MTV: Class of 1983," a promotional CD. I made a digital collage
of screen shots from the original promo spots for MTV and videos of the 30 songs included on
the CD, made a label for a giant can and then photographed it. For Woodstock 1994, I created a
P.O.P. display advertising a sweepstakes contest co-sponsored by Pepsi. I also designed a
t-shirt as the staff uniform on the event site. In all of these projects, I created original art, including
digital collage, photography and "scanner-as-camera," as the budgets were fairly limited.
