Freightliner:
For the first half of 2002, at the IBM Center for e-Business in Santa Monica, CA I was the main Creative Directorassigned to the Freightliner account, leading the design effort for a third-party website called MyTruck. The
creative team consisted of two Information Designers, a Content Strategist, a Senior Writer, a Content Editor, an
Art Director, three Graphic Designers, and two HTML Programmers. The Information Designers and the Content
Strategist were sent into the field to truck stops to talk directly to truckers about the type of support and
information they would like to access while on the road.
Based on those interviews, the team created user profiles, user scenarios and site flows to best meet the
truckers' and the client's needs. Using wireframes, interface designs were developed, then, production and
HTML were implemented. Partnerships with external content providers were established, and original content
was created as well. Throughout this process, I had extensive interaction with the client both at IBM in Santa
Monica, and at the clients' headquarters in Portland, OR.
