Brita:
Also in 1999, at Y&R's Orange County, CA office, I was the Senior Art Director for Brita's (a division ofClorox) online presence. The creative team consisted an Information Designer, a Senior Writer, and one
staff Designer. Part of our challenge was to create a site for Brita which would be useful and engaging
to viewers, as well as to increase demand for the purchase of Brita's products.
Our team created a "water information" site which advised on such subjects as daily water needs and
the health benefits of drinking water. Our writer researched some water facts which appeared as
randomized factoids on the home page. It also provided online purchasing via third-party websites-- they
opted not to implement their own e-commerce solution, as that might alienate their existing supply network.
